Posterior Arthroscopy

Anterior arthroscopy is the most common procedure and is performed through two small incisions at the front of the ankle. Posterior arthroscopy - as you may guess - is performed at the back of the ankle, through two incisions either side of the Achilles. It is most commonly performed for pain at the back of the ankle due to accessory bones (os trigonum), spurs or scarring.
